The Royal Chronicles (Special longest painting 720 x 45 cm)

"The Royal Chronicles"

Mixed media on rice paper and Beauregard Linen (Holland)
45 x 720 cm. (18" x 284")

This is the longest piece of rice paper I have ever painted. It's 7.2 meters in length to represent  the 72 years of The King
(1999). I chose the accomplishments and contributions His Majesty has made to Thailand during His lifetime and his over fifty
years as The King of Thailand. As he is the ninth king (Rama IX) of the ChakriDynasty, I chose to work with materials from
nine different countries including brushes from Taiwan, China and Japan, acrylic paints from England and USA., inks from
India, the rice paper from Korea. The underlying Beauregard Linen is from Holland and of course the artist is Thai.
