"The Talented Musician No.1"
Acrylic on Beauregard Linen (Holland)
72 x 97.5 cm.  (28" x 38")

His Majesty is an accomplished musician who has trained and played with major world class musicians in both America and Europe.
For this painting I chose a lively acrylic paint as I wanted the feeling of movement.
The King is shown at an angle which gives life to the
painting and I crushed English crystals into the paint  when I completed the saxophone to give the instrument a shiny and exciting appearance. The most challenging part of this painting is to capture the activity of the fingers and mouth which create the music on the saxophone. I refer to this painting as mixed media to create expressionism.
